Project Description
MPMH delivered as Principal Contractor over three floor refurbishments for Aviva in Perth. MPMH has delivered a number of large “fit out” projects for Aviva throughout the UK. The project was carried out on a Design and Build Contract. To enable the Design and Build Contract to be met, MPMH employed a Mechanical & Electrical Design team and Architect to ensure the Project specification and building control measure were adhered to and achieved.
This project consisted of alterations to existing electrical and data to suit the desk arrangements on the new floor layout. New meetings rooms were created with full height glass partitions and doors along with an Agora Room, which is a tiered surround seating area used for meetings and team bonding. A new café area was created for the staff along with breakout areas and tea prep areas.

Extensive mechanical alterations were carried out to suit the new layout including the installation of new air conditioning and new pipework to all 53 toilets. A new ITEC room was created for the IT department and server including leak detection system. New ceilings were installed along with new floor coverings and decoration through the floors. We also refitted 53 toilets, new shower facilities installation of new wall and floor tiling, raft ceiling, mirrors, lighting, and bespoke sanitary wear.

Creation of feature ceiling raft and glass features to the main reception. We supplied and fitted 2,500 m2 of carpets and vinyl throughout. We also supplied and installed wall graphics to each floor creating a calming Scottish feel.
The project was challenging due to the short lead in time of appointment and project handover. MPMH worked closely with the client and consultants to incorporate the late client changes by working weekends and late nights to accommodate these late changes to ensure the project was delivered on time.
MPMH organised the building warrant and necessary completions certificates.
MPMH utilised our own resources to deliver this project ensuring that we had trusted control of our own staff and operatives whilst working remotely.
SUB CONTRACTORS
MPMH delivered the Aviva project, where we ran each floor sequentially using our own “in-house” trades people, except Mechanical, Electrical and Flooring works. The reason for selection of sub-contractors is because they are specialists in their own sphere of work. They have been vetted and approved through our certified ISO9001 Quality Management System and delivered projects under tight timescales on budget within live environments. We have highlighted the trade splits below for the above Aviva project.
